Job Overview: A law firm in Torrance, CA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Attorney to manage a caseload of 30-40 cases, overseeing all aspects of litigation from filing through trial. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, active California Bar membership, and 3-7 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience. This role requires strong legal research and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a client-focused approach.

Duties:

  • Managing a caseload of 30-40 cases, acting as the lead attorney through all litigation aspects from filing to trial.
  • Developing case strategies and theories to represent clients effectively.
  • Drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Taking and defending depositions, including plaintiff, defendant, and expert witnesses.
  • Engaging in settlement negotiations to resolve cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Acting as second chair in trials, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients to provide updates on case progress and address concerns.
  • Overseeing and directing Paralegal and other support staff to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a caseload and resolving cases for high value.
