Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will primarily handle cases related to gaming regulatory matters, with a preference for experience in the tribal gaming space. The ideal candidate will have a background in drafting and arguing discovery motions, taking and defending depositions, and possess exceptional oral and written advocacy skills. They should be adept in case management and ready to take the lead on assigned cases.

 

Duties:

  • Handle cases related to gaming regulatory matters, with a focus on the tribal gaming space.
  • Draft and argue discovery motions.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Manage cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in the gaming industry.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice in a state.
  • 3+ years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry (e.g., casino gaming, sports betting, iGaming, fantasy sports) in a mid-size to large law firm setting.
  • Strong academic credentials.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in at least one state.

 

Skills:

  • Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Strong case management abilities.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently and take the lead on cases.
  • Knowledge of gaming regulatory laws and practices (preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
