Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Attorney in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will join a dynamic Labor and Employment practice group, representing employers in complex employment matters across various industries. This role requires strong litigation, research, writing, and advocacy skills, with experience managing sophisticated employment cases through all litigation phases.

Duties

  • Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, and motions.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
  • Manage case files and assist with case progression from inception to resolution.
  • Perform case assessments and evaluate liability and exposure.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing strategic legal guidance and updates.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation matters.

Requirements

  • Admission to practice in Pennsylvania required; New Jersey admission is a plus.
  • 3+ years of litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong desire for professional growth and advancement.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
