Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Creditor's Rights, and Business/Corporate Law practice group in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will be in good standing with the South Carolina Bar and possess strong academic credentials, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to work independently.

Duties

• Conduct closings and participate in trials and hearings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and briefs.
• Perform legal research and communicate with clients and opposing parties.
• Manage a diverse caseload from inception to conclusion.
• Provide timely updates to senior attorneys and collaborate during depositions and court appearances.
• Review and draft contracts and leases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree.
• 1 - 3 years' experience preferred.
• Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to client service and effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage caseload efficiently.

Education

• Juris Doctorate degree.

Certifications

• Good standing with the South Carolina Bar.
