Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Creditor's Rights Attorney in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will manage a significant volume of cases in creditor's rights, including mortgage foreclosure and collections. This role requires court appearances and may involve travel across the state.

Duties

  • Handle a high volume of creditor's rights cases.
  • Resolve issues in discovery practice and depositions.
  • Engage in conflict resolution and appellate matters.
  • Develop and maintain industry relationships.
  • Appear in court and travel as necessary.

Requirements

  • Member in good standing of the SC State Bar.
  • Licensed in South Carolina federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections.
  • Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar License in the state of SC (required).
  • Additional state licenses are a plus.
