A law firm in Miami is currently seeking a Mid-level Chemical Science Patent Prosecution Patent Agent to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in performing complex and sensitive client work, involving the preparation of patent applications and responses to USPTO communications. The individual will work closely with attorneys to deliver high-quality legal services efficiently and cost-effectively.

Duties:

• Prepare draft patent applications and draft responses to communications from the USPTO.
• Assist attorneys in delivering quality legal services to clients in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Conduct highly complex and sensitive client work requiring a high level of professional capability and skill.

Requirements:

• Admission to the USPTO is required.
• 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• High level of academic achievement.
• Solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience.
• Superb writing and communication skills.
• Degree in organic chemistry or chemical engineering.
• Advanced degrees in these fields are preferred.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in organic chemistry or chemical engineering.

Certifications:

Admission to the USPTO.
