Associate Attorney needed for New York City office

A law firm in New York, NY, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of New York and New Jersey litigation experience in casualty defense, premises liability, and automobile liability. The ideal candidate will assist with drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, performing legal research, making court appearances, and working under the guidance of a Senior Partner. Strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery demands/responses
• Administer depositions, issue interrogatories, and review documents during the discovery process
• Conduct legal research on relevant issues
• Make court appearances as required
• Work under the supervision of a Senior Partner on assigned cases

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of litigation experience in New York and New Jersey
• Licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey
• Strong academic background
• Excellent reading, writing, communication, and attention to detail skills

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in New York and New Jersey
