Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Immigration Practice Group in Atlanta, Georgia. This role focuses on removal defense and client advocacy in immigration court. Duties:

  • Represent clients in removal defense proceedings before immigration courts

  • Conduct client interviews and develop individualized case strategies

  • Prepare and file motions, briefs, and supporting legal documents

  • Stay updated on changes in immigration law and policy

  • Liaise with clients, court staff, and government agencies

  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely filings

  • Collaborate with legal support staff and attorneys as needed

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. state

  • Demonstrated interest or experience in immigration law

  • Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines under pressure

  • Strong commitment to client service and advocacy

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in any U.S. state (active and in good standing)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills

  • Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities

  • Bilingual skills (preferred, but not required)
