Corporate Associate (Mid-Level/Senior Associate)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level/senior associate to join its Corporate group in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have experience with start-ups, emerging growth companies, seed and venture capital financings, growth and private equity, and mergers & acquisitions.

Duties

• Advise early-stage entrepreneurs and start-ups.
• Represent companies and venture funds in financing rounds and M&A.
• Engage in investor-side financing in growth equity rounds.
• Maintain significant client contact, including with CEOs and Boards of Directors.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience in private company financings.
• Experience in maintaining client relationships.
• Ability to handle multiple client matters concurrently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted or eligible to waive into the State Bar of Massachusetts.

Skills

• Experience with venture capital financings, growth and/or private equity, M&A transactions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Eagerness to work with emerging growth companies and funds.
