Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Strategic Transactions and Licensing Associate to join their Technology Group in Boston. The group collaborates with startups and venture capital firms across various sectors, including technology, life sciences, and financial services. The associate will gain expertise throughout the company lifecycle, manage multiple matters, and engage with clients from the outset.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate licensing, partnering, and commercial agreements.
• Provide intellectual property, privacy, and business counseling to clients.
• Manage transactions from company formation to acquisitions.

Requirements

• Experience in commercial contracts drafting, negotiation, venture financing, or M&A transactions.
• Eagerness to work with startup and venture capital clients.
• Admission to the State Bar of Massachusetts.
• Superior academic credentials from a top law school.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous large law firm experience preferred.
