A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel for their Boston, MA office.

Job Overview: The Litigation Of Counsel will provide legal counsel and representation in litigation matters, focusing on product liability and/or complex commercial litigation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in science, superior research and writing skills, and the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree
  • 8+ years of litigation experience
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar
  • Direct and applicable experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm
  • Background in science (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology)
  • Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation
  • Superior research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong academic background from nationally recognized schools

Certifications and Skills:

  • Preferably 8+ years of litigation experience gained at an AmLaw 100 firm
  • Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus
