Pre-litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Pre-litigation Attorney in Waco, Texas. The Pre-litigation Attorney will primarily handle pre-litigation matters for personal injury cases, including client meetings, motion work, discovery, depositions, and mediations. The role requires developing and implementing strategies that foster productive relationships with the support team and align with the firm's goals and objectives.

Duties:

• Meet with clients to discuss legal matters and provide counsel during the pre-litigation phase.
• Conduct motion work, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Conduct and defend depositions during pre-litigation proceedings.
• Represent clients in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure effective case management and alignment with firm objectives.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• State Bar certification in Texas.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in personal injury law or related legal field.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).

Certifications:

State Bar certification in Texas.

Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
