A law firm located in Honolulu is seeking a Family Law Attorney with experience in Hawaii family law to assist clients with divorce and family-related legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in providing compassionate and zealous representation, along with litigation and client management experience. The Family Law Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to clients navigating divorce and family law issues. They will advocate for clients' interests with compassion and diligence while ensuring compliance with Hawaii family law regulations.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in family law matters
  • Handle divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, spousal support, and other family-related cases
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on Hawaii family law statutes and precedents
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings
  • Manage client relationships and communications effectively
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff on case strategy and preparation
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required
  • Stay updated on changes and developments in Hawaii family law

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with Hawaii family law
  • Currently licensed to practice law in Hawaii and residing in the state
  • Genuine interest in assisting clients with divorce and family law matters
  • Litigation and client management experience
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Hawaii State Bar or eligibility for admission on motion
