Associate Attorney needed for Fresno office

A law firm in Fresno, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The candidate should have file-handling experience and a desire to handle cases and court appearances. The role involves preparing motions and discovery, appearing in court, conducting legal research, advising clients, and maintaining documentation of clients' files.

Duties:

• Prepare motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Appear in court on behalf of clients.
• Interview clients and witnesses, review transcripts, and investigate facts and testimony.
• Maintain documentation of clients' files and communicate with experts, opposing counsel, and other interested parties.
• Advise clients on their rights, consequences, and available actions, including the merits of trial or negotiated settlements.
• Conduct legal research to prepare motions, briefs, and pleadings critical to client representation.

Requirements:

• License to practice law in all courts of the State of California.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
