Trial Attorney

A law firm in Omaha, NE, seeks a Trial Attorney to champion clients with top-notch legal acumen. The ideal candidate will lead cases and represent clients and businesses in civil litigation and other legal proceedings, collaborating with clients to develop strategies to meet specific goals.

Duties:

• Lead cases and represent clients and businesses in civil litigation and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with clients and their advisors to develop strategies to meet specific goals.
• Draft and file briefs, motions, and other necessary judicial pleadings.
• Interview and depose witnesses and facilitate the discovery process.
• Supervise and direct mediation sessions and offer effective legal advice.
• Engage in business development, including professional organization involvement and writing.
• Supervise paralegals, staff, and team members as your role progresses.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Successful passing of the Bar exam.
• An active member in good standing of the Bar or currently eligible to become licensed to practice law in Nebraska.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience, such as motion practice, discovery disputes, trial preparation, and a strong interest in litigation.
• Preferably 7+ years of specific litigation/trial experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent academic and professional credentials are desired.
