Responsibilities include various tasks related to legal debt collection, ensuring strict compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local consumer protection laws.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation and counsel in Maryland civil litigation matters.
  • Oversee office operations and staff, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Make frequent appearances in district court for hearings, trials, and other proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local consumer protection laws.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and staff members.
  • Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload while meeting deadlines.
  • Handle negotiations, settlement discussions, and alternative dispute resolution processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in all Maryland state courts, in good standing.
  • Direct experience in Maryland civil litigation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications (if applicable):

Admission to practice law in all Maryland state courts.
