Job Overview:

A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with at least 5+ years of commercial litigation experience. The ideal candidate should possess excellent credentials, strong analytical abilities, superior communication skills, and a proven track record of success in handling litigation cases. The candidate should be comfortable making oral arguments, depositing, and interacting with clients.

Duties:

  • Independently evaluate and manage a caseload of 30+ ongoing litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including oral arguments and trials.
  • Take depositions of witnesses and parties involved in litigation cases.
  • Work closely with other attorneys and staff on assigned legal projects.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various legal matters.

Requirements:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of commercial litigation experience.
  • First Chair personal injury trial experience.
  • Strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and good standing with the Texas State Bar.
