Duties:

  • Evaluate and propose viable immigration relief strategies tailored to client circumstances

  • Develop and execute plans for resolving legal issues and overcoming immigration hurdles

  • Provide oversight, mentorship, and training for assigned legal support staff

  • Review, audit, and ensure quality assurance on work produced by non-attorney team members

  • Conduct internal legal training focused on ethical standards and best practices

  • Respond to case-specific legal inquiries from legal support staff

  • Edit and finalize immigration filings and supporting documentation (e.g., USCIS applications)

  • Monitor and implement updates on immigration law, administrative policies, and court decisions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience handling family-based and humanitarian immigration cases

  • Direct involvement with humanitarian visa petitions such as VAWA, U-Visa, T-Visa, Asylum, and related filings

  • Demonstrated experience preparing USCIS and consular applications, responding to RFEs and NOIDs, and prepping clients for interviews

  • Strong ability to guide and lead a legal support team with professionalism and efficiency

  • Commitment to client-focused, advocacy-driven legal work

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred

  • Experience with immigration court proceedings is an advantage

  • Proficiency in adjusting to new legal processes and a continuous improvement mindset

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law and a member in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar

Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. immigration law, especially in humanitarian and family-based categories

  • Strong legal writing, editing, and document preparation abilities

  • Collaborative leadership and mentoring capability
