Litigation Associate Attorney II

A law firm in Mandeville is currently seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney II with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple case files in a busy environment, handling all aspects of litigation, and demonstrating strong legal research and analytical skills. The role includes drafting legal documents, preparing pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and participating in various legal proceedings. The attorney should be licensed to practice in Louisiana, with licensure in Mississippi and other additional states as a plus.

Job Details:

• Manage multiple case files successfully in a busy environment.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.
• Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.
• Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency.
• Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts.
• Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and status report correspondence.
• Assist in trial preparation and trial.
• Assisted with and participated in mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Louisiana.
• Licensure in Mississippi and additional state admissions is a plus.
• Possess knowledge of both state and federal court procedures.
• Demonstrate strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills.
• Efficiently move from case to case.

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in insurance defense, premise liability defense, worker’s compensation, and/or product liability defense.
