Construction Defect Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Construction Defect Attorney for their Miami, FL, office.

Job Overview:

The Construction Defect Attorney will manage a litigation caseload, including taking and defending depositions, handling discovery, writing motions, and making court appearances. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of recent/relevant experience, with construction litigation experience required. Trial experience is considered a plus.

Duties:

• Manage a litigation caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Take and defend depositions as necessary.
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to requests.
• Write motions and briefs for submission to the court.
• Make court appearances as required.
• Conduct legal research on various issues related to construction defect cases.
• Work independently while also participating in weekly online meetings.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of recent/relevant experience.
• Experience in construction litigation.
• Courtroom and deposition experience.
• Trial experience preferred.
• Proficiency in legal research, motions, discovery, and depositions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Enhanced computer literacy.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.
