Job Overview:
A top estate planning law firm in San Diego is seeking an experienced Estate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a skilled team in a supportive and dynamic environment, focusing on probate and trust administration, with no litigation or overtime required.

Location:

  • San Diego, CA

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss services and review drafted documents.
  • Draft, review, and interpret legal documents, including probate inventories, court filings, and trust administration accountings.
  • Prepare summaries and accountings for clients.
  • Work with clients to set deadlines and follow up to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Utilize cloud-based applications such as Microsoft Office and CRM software (Act).
  • Perform other duties as needed within the scope of estate planning.
  • No litigation or overtime required.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in probate and trust administration in a law firm.
  • In-depth understanding of the trust and estate administration process from start to finish.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be highly organized, adaptable, and professional.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Spreadsheets.
  • California Notary Public certification is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar License (Required)
  • California Notary Public (Preferred)

Skills:

  • Expertise in wills, trusts, and estate law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based applications and CRM software.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
