Job Overview:
A respected litigation firm in downtown Chicago seeks a driven and experienced Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its team. The position calls for an individual with hands-on experience managing personal injury matters from intake through resolution. Duties:

  • Manage a full docket of personal injury cases from inception through resolution

  • Conduct detailed evaluations of potential claims and guide clients

  • Draft and revise legal documentation, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery, and settlement demands

  • Gather and analyze evidence such as medical records, insurance policies, and investigative reports

  • Engage with clients, treating providers, expert witnesses, and opposing parties

  • Negotiate pre-trial settlements when appropriate and in the client’s best interest

  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings

  • Maintain up-to-date case information in legal case management software

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in personal injury law (preferably representing plaintiffs)

  • Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the state bar

  • Bilingual skills are considered a strong asset

  • Experience handling depositions, mediations, and hearings preferred

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple cases and deadlines efficiently

  • Proficient in client communications and expectation management

  • Ability to identify critical issues and make sound legal judgments

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

  • Excellent written advocacy and verbal communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Illinois
