Duties

  • Handle daily court calls, motions, discovery, depositions, and second chair trials for medical malpractice, complex litigation and dispute resolution for injured plaintiffs and commercial clients.
  • Handle federal court cases for civil rights claims involving police shootings and prisoner's rights.
  • Manage and complete discovery for various cases independently.
  • Engage in direct client communication and handle daily court appearances.
  • Prepare and argue motions, conduct depositions, and assist in trials.
  • Handle federal court cases involving civil rights claims.
  • Evaluate new cases and claims as they arise.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
