Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm is currently seeking an experienced Attorney to join its legal team. The role involves providing legal counsel, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and maintaining accurate client files. The ideal candidate will collaborate with administrative staff, colleagues, and senior partners to deliver exceptional legal services to clients. Experience in Insurance Defense and Workers' Compensation is a plus.

Location:

• Coral Gables, FL

Duties:

• Prepare contracts, briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
• Attend legal proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Provide legal counsel alongside senior associates and partners.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records and case files.
• Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants in daily operations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the State Bar.
• Proven experience in Insurance Defense, particularly in Workers' Compensation (preferred but not required).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex legal issues.
• Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the relevant state(s).
• Certification or experience in Insurance Defense (preferred, but not required).

Skills:

• Legal research and writing proficiency.
• Expertise in drafting legal documents, including contracts and motions.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and work independently when necessary.
