Antitrust Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Antitrust Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its growing antitrust practice in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Department of Justice Antitrust Division, the Federal Trade Commission, or similar entities, focusing on civil antitrust litigation and investigations.

Duties

• Handle civil conduct or merger and joint venture analysis and investigations.
• Litigate antitrust matters, including drafting motions and briefs.
• Participate in depositions and witness preparation.
• Defend companies in civil conduct investigations.
• Obtain clearance for or oppose mergers and acquisitions.
• Provide antitrust compliance counseling.

Requirements

• Experience with DOJ, FTC, or similar antitrust matters.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven research and analysis abilities.
• Persuasive writing skills.
• Willingness to assume immediate responsibility.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar membership in DC or New York.

Skills

• Experience in telecommunications and internet sectors is a plus.
