Job Overview

A law firm specializing in healthcare and life sciences is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Life Sciences team. The role is based in Pine Brook, NJ and offers the opportunity to work with clients across the healthcare spectrum, including pharmacies, physician practices, laboratories, and more. This position is suited for a candidate with a strong litigation background and a demonstrated interest in life sciences or healthcare law.

Location

Duties

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents

  • Communicate with clients regarding investigations, litigation strategies, and case updates

  • Draft objections and responses to discovery requests

  • Analyze and index document productions

  • Prepare and manage scheduling orders, protective orders, and e-discovery orders

  • Draft deposition outlines and exhibits; conduct and defend depositions

  • Prepare witnesses and materials for trial, arbitration, and administrative hearings

  • Conduct oral arguments and represent clients in court and arbitration proceedings

  • Develop mediation strategies and draft mediation statements

  • Represent clients before administrative agencies and licensing boards

  • Sit second chair at trials and final arbitration hearings

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of litigation experience (healthcare or life sciences experience preferred)

  • Demonstrated interest in life sciences and/or healthcare law

  • Willingness to work in the Pine Brook, NJ office at least 4 days per week

  • Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state

  • Experience performing key litigation responsibilities listed above

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
