Job Overview:

The Estate Planning Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing comprehensive estate planning services to clients, including legal advice, document preparation, and tax guidance. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of estate planning laws and regulations.

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss estate planning needs, understand their goals, and provide legal advice.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their estate planning matters.
  • Prepare legal documents such as wills, trusts, and power of attorney tailored to clients' circumstances.
  • Guide minimizing tax implications related to estate planning, including estate and gift taxes.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, conducting legal research as needed to ensure accurate advice and document drafting.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals, such as tax and real estate attorneys, to offer integrated and comprehensive services.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
  • An LL.M. in Taxation, or coursework or experience in tax law, is also required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 0-5 years of experience in estate planning and estate and trust administration.
