Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Intake Attorney for its San Diego, CA office. The successful candidate will work with clients, including property owners and managers, on landlord-tenant matters and assess the viability of evictions.

Duties

  • Assist clients through every phase of the eviction process.
  • Provide legal advice through consultations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to assess new cases.
  • Draft legal correspondence, including letters and notices.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, such as summons and complaints.
  • Assist with court appearances and client presentations.

Requirements

  • J.D. and an active California Bar license.
  • General knowledge of civil litigation.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of landlord-tenant legal principles.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with the litigation process and California Civil Code.
  • Preferred: Experience with the rental housing industry.

Education

  • Graduate degree.

Certifications

  • Active California Bar license.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and drafting abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
