Job Overview:

The Bio Patent Counseling Associate Attorney will provide strategic legal counsel to biotech companies and investors in developing and managing international patent portfolios. They will also conduct non-infringement and invalidity analysis, post-grant proceedings, and intellectual property due diligence.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel for biotech companies and investors on strategic international patent portfolio development and life cycle management.
  • Conduct non-infringement and invalidity analysis.
  • Represent clients in post-grant proceedings.
  • Conduct intellectual property due diligence.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive legal support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4+ years of patent counseling and prosecution experience.
  • Hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
  • Experience representing biotech companies and investors in patent matters.
  • Prior pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Education & Certifications:

  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
  • Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in intellectual property law and regulations.
