A law firm located in Dallas, TX, is currently seeking a Commercial Real Estate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience and 4,000 hours representing various stakeholders in commercial real estate transactions. The role involves addressing common issues related to the acquisition, sale, development, finance, and use of commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will have a practical understanding and familiarity with due diligence, financial/accounting aspects, and title-related matters in commercial real estate. The attorney will handle a diverse range of transactions and receive 50-75% of work related to commercial real estate.

Duties:

  • Represent commercial real estate acquirers, sellers, developers, financers, or users in transactions.
  • Address common issues in the acquisition, sale, development, finance, and use of commercial real estate.
  • Provide a practical understanding of due diligence in various real estate interests.
  • Handle financial and accounting issues related to commercial real estate.
  • Represent real estate owners, developers, managers, investors, or brokers in multiple transaction types.
  • Manage and review title opinions, draft objection letters, and work through title issues, coverage, and common ALTA endorsements.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Familiarity with industry solutions for various commercial real estate matters.
  • Practical understanding of due diligence in real estate transactions.
  • Basic familiarity with financial and accounting issues in commercial real estate.
  • Experience representing real estate owners, developers, managers, investors, or brokers in multiple transaction types.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • An active member in good standing with the Texas Bar.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills.
