Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employee Rights Attorney in Charlotte, NC. This role offers the opportunity to engage in meaningful legal work, representing employees who have faced discrimination and harassment. The position involves leading the expansion of claims and litigation practice in North Carolina.

Duties

  • Draft pleadings and handle discovery.
  • Take depositions and participate in trials.
  • Evaluate discrimination, sexual harassment, FMLA, overtime claims, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Negotiate settlements.
  • Communicate daily with staff and managers to coordinate screenings and consultations.

Requirements

  • Must have a Juris Doctorate.
  • Currently licensed to practice law in NC, or awaiting NC bar results and licensed in another state.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy.
  • Advanced time management skills and ability to organize and prioritize work.
