This role supports a robust litigation docket that includes commercial disputes, collections, and construction litigation. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to work on impactful cases serving communities across Texas, particularly those in rural areas. Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters, including construction disputes, debt recovery, and business conflicts

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents with precision and efficiency

  • Manage all phases of litigation from pre-filing through post-trial

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations

  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice

  • Maintain organized documentation and case files using Mac-based tools

  • Collaborate with team members and clients while demonstrating professionalism and client-first communication

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Texas

  • 3 to 10 years of litigation experience in Texas state courts

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Texas Rules of Civil Procedure

  • Comfortable using MS Word and adapting to Mac-based law practice tools

  • Willingness to complete personality and aptitude assessments

  • Ability to provide at least three professional references

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and research capabilities

  • Effective oral advocacy and courtroom presence

  • Attention to detail in drafting and reviewing documents

  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

  • Adaptable and collaborative team player with a solution-oriented mindset

  • Affinity for or understanding of rural communities and culture preferred
