Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Projects Tax Associate with a strong interest in renewable energy to join its project finance group. This position is available in multiple locations, including Washington, D.C., New York, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Antonio, San Francisco, and St. Louis. The role involves supporting senior associates and partners on projects related to solar, wind, geothermal, and other energy transition initiatives.

Duties

  • Assist in structuring and executing complex financing and tax transactions.
  • Collaborate with project developers, lenders, and investors on renewable energy projects.
  • Stay informed on federal tax law developments and renewable energy incentives.
  • Work closely with experienced attorneys on cutting-edge legal matters.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience as a tax lawyer.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy incentives and partnership taxation preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Prior experience in a large law firm preferred.

Education

  • LLM in taxation preferred.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.
