Job Overview:

A well-established law firm with a strong presence in the financial services and real estate sectors is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to manage a high-volume foreclosure litigation caseload. This role requires courtroom experience, client communication, and legal expertise in foreclosure and contested matters. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional legal service in a fast-paced environment.

Location:

  • Columbia, SC

Duties:

  • Prepare, review, and approve foreclosure-related pleadings

  • Handle all aspects of foreclosure litigation, including contested matters

  • Represent clients in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person court appearances

  • Maintain regular communication with clients and provide case updates

  • Participate in legal strategy discussions and compliance oversight

  • Perform additional duties and contribute to special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

  • Active and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar

  • Completion of South Carolina Rule 403 Certification

  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize a large caseload

  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with client communication via phone, email, and client systems

  • Professionalism and conscientious approach to workflow and attendance

  • Problem-solving mindset with excellent organizational skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice in South Carolina

  • Rule 403 Certification completed

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing, litigation strategy, and courtroom advocacy

  • Client service and relationship management

  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail

  • Time management and ability to multitask under pressure

  • Familiarity with foreclosure law and civil litigation procedures
