A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking an Intellectual Property Attorney with the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

  • Work closely with other partners and senior associates on patent and trademark issues.
  • Significant experience in Patent and Trademark Litigation.
  • Preferably admitted to the Patent Bar.
  • 8-12 years of patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution experience practicing in a law firm.
  • Strong litigation skills, excellent drafting and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within deadlines and on a team.
  • Engineering or computer science degree or significant experience litigating patents in these technology areas.
  • Member of the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming one.

Duties:

  • Handle patent and trademark litigation cases.
  • Provide legal counsel on intellectual property matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Stay updated on changes in intellectual property laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Florida.
  • Admitted to the Patent Bar (preferred).
  • 8-12 years of experience in patent and trademark litigation.
  • Strong litigation skills and experience in dispute resolution.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
  • Admission to the Patent Bar (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
