Job Overview: A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking a Senior Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in civil litigation, demonstrating strong research, writing, and analytical skills. The Senior Attorney will be responsible for effectively communicating with clients, colleagues, and third parties, producing high-quality work products, meeting deadlines, and fostering positive work relationships.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and respond to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations while performing required duties.
  • Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with external parties.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extended computer work, virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as necessary.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience with civil litigation in state and federal courts.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience conducting and defending depositions, managing a case docket, and appearing in court (preferred).
  • Experience handling multi-district litigation (a plus).
  • Trial experience.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
