Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is actively seeking a highly skilled Consumer Financial Services Attorney with a focus on state and federal court litigation. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in retail bank litigation, auto finance litigation, credit card litigation, and mortgage litigation. The candidate should demonstrate strong academic and professional credentials, superior research and writing abilities, analytical skills, and effective communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with clerkship experience, and being licensed and in good standing with the Washington State Bar is a mandatory requirement.

Duties:

  • Handle state and federal court litigation cases, specifically in retail bank litigation, including UCC, EFTA, and garnishments.
  • Manage litigation cases related to auto finance, credit card, and mortgage litigation.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to develop and implement litigation strategies.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in state and federal court litigation.
  • Expertise in retail bank litigation, including UCC, EFTA, and garnishments.
