Duties

  • Advise clients on compliance with the U.S. Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
  • Assist with designing and implementing AML compliance programs for financial institutions and other businesses.
  • Conduct legal research and provide counsel on regulatory enforcement actions, risks, and obligations under BSA/AML regulations.
  • Draft and review policies, procedures, and training materials related to AML compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to ensure ongoing compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Participate in regulatory filings, audits, and examinations.
  • Stay current on changes to BSA/AML regulations and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Should have 4+ years of experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience advising companies on U.S. Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations related to BSA/AML compliance.
  • Experience working with financial institutions, fintech companies, or similar industries on compliance matters.
  • Ability to manage complex regulatory issues and advise clients on legal risks and strategies.

Education

  • J.D. (Juris Doctor) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law or eligibility to obtain licensure in New York.
