Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Foreclosure Attorney in Columbia, SC. The successful candidate will join a team representing mortgage lenders and servicers in State and Federal Courts, focusing on foreclosure and title issues.

Duties

• Attend court proceedings including trials, motion hearings, and mediations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and memoranda of law.
• Meet and confer with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Review residential real estate title searches and loan documents.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in South Carolina.
• 1-3 years' experience handling foreclosure work.
• Completion of S.C. Rule 403 requirements.
• Effective time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal and business documents.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
