The role involves working closely with clients to provide legal counsel in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. Duties

  • Draft estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
  • Advise clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies
  • Manage trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings and fiduciary guidance
  • Represent clients in Surrogate’s Court matters and estate-related disputes
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to estate and tax law issues
  • Maintain detailed records and case files in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals on client matters


Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in trusts and estates law
  • Familiarity with New Jersey probate and estate administration procedures
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of New Jersey
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage client relationships


Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school


Certifications

  • Member in good standing of the New Jersey State Bar
  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning (preferred, but not required)
