A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its litigation team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves managing a caseload of general liability and insurance defense matters, providing an opportunity to work with a reputable firm. The position is ideal for an attorney with a strong litigation background and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense and general liability matters
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions
• Develop litigation strategies and provide risk analysis to clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues
• Maintain detailed and organized case files
• Attend court hearings and trials as needed

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in insurance defense or general liability litigation
• Strong knowledge of Georgia civil procedure and court rules
• Experience handling all phases of litigation
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team
• Prior experience attending depositions and court hearings

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the Georgia Bar
