Job Overview: A law firm in Royal Palm Beach, FL, is seeking an Associate Attorney with a strong desire to learn and practice in various areas of law, including Construction, Environmental, Landlord-Tenant, Zoning, Eminent Domain, Commercial and Residential transactions, Business Formation, Litigation, and Wills and Trusts.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research on various issues related to assigned cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients.
  • Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and support staff on case matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new areas of law.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge:

  • Experience or interest in Construction and Environmental matters.
  • Familiarity with construction law issues such as construction defects, delay claims, contract changes, payment and performance bonds, mechanics' liens, bid protests, and 558 claims.
  • Knowledge of Landlord-Tenant Law, Zoning and Land Use Law, and Eminent Domain Matters.
  • Experience in Commercial and Residential transactions, Lease Drafting and Disputes, Condominium, Homeowner Association, and Co-Op Law.
  • Understanding of Business Formation and Litigation.
  • Familiarity with Wills and Trust Law.

  • Strong drafting and transactional skills.
