A law firm in El Segundo is seeking a Social Security Disability Associate Attorney to assess, evaluate, and represent clients in disability claims. The candidate will be responsible for cross-examining witnesses, preparing for hearings, maintaining effective communication, developing case strategies, and presenting cases in front of judges.

 

Duties:

  • Thoroughly assess and evaluate disability claims.
  • Skillfully cross-examine witnesses during legal proceedings.
  • Prepare for and represent clients at hearings.
  • Maintain effective communication with all relevant parties.
  • Develop and execute effective case strategies.
  • Present cases in front of judges with professionalism and expertise.
  • Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Requirements:

  • Currently admitted to a State Bar or pending Bar exam results.
  • Graduation in the top 30% of law school class is preferred.
  • Participation in either Moot Court or Law Review is preferred.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a State Bar or pending Bar exam results.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Social Security Disability law is preferred.
