A law firm located in Los Angeles is seeking a Private Equity Resource Attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US private equity corporate/transactional practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with the M&A resource attorney and knowledge management team to assist with M&A/private equity (PE) data and experience input and maintenance, preparing drafts of template documents, curating and organizing the PE group’s forms and precedents, and cross-checking overlays between PE and other practice groups. The Private Equity Resource Attorney will play a vital role in supporting the private equity practice group by maintaining and developing resources, providing legal research, and facilitating training efforts. This role requires expertise in private equity transactions, strong drafting skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

 

Duties:

  • Assist with M&A/PE data and experience input and maintenance
  • Prepare drafts of template documents and revise existing precedents
  • Curate and organize the PE group’s forms, precedents, and other know-how
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relative to PE practice and the firm’s core industry verticals
  • Develop and maintain the internal landing page for the PE group
  • Coordinate with the firm’s legal education team to prepare content for associate trainings
  • Strategize on firm PE promotion and assist with the creation of content for pitches and teach-ins
  • Collaborate with the quantitative analyst group on matters specific to PE funds and transactions
  • Field day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and other resources
  • Contribute to resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US private equity corporate/transactional practice
  • Basic understanding of private equity, including M&A, portfolio company management, equity compensation, tax issues, acquisition financing, and other financial transactions
  • Mastery of substantive area of practice undertaken by the Private Equity practice group
  • Knowledge of industries regularly advised by the firm

  • Strong intellectual ability, interpersonal, and technical skills
  • Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
