A law firm in Columbus, OH, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Litigation Associate Attorney with excellent interpersonal communication, analytical, writing, and research skills. Experience in medical malpractice is preferred. The firm offers a friendly, professional work environment with competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and abilities.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including depositions, written discovery, legal research and writing, trial preparation, trial presentation, and client reporting.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on case-specific issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process.
  • Develop case strategy and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple cases effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and development.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Ohio State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • 5-7 years of experience in all aspects of litigation, with preference for experience in medical malpractice.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and research skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
