Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join the Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits team in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves engaging in transactional deal work, including employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) transactions, and providing day-to-day advice on employee benefits and executive compensation matters.

Duties

  • Participate in transactional deal work, including ESOP transactions.
  • Advise on all aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation.
  • Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of qualified benefits experience.
  • ESOP transactional and/or compliance experience preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Solid academic background.
  • J.D. degree and admission in good standing in the applicable jurisdiction (California, Illinois, New York, or District of Columbia).

Education

  • J.D. degree required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in the applicable jurisdiction.
