Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Criminal Law Attorney to join its legal team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in criminal law and demonstrate exceptional negotiation and litigation skills. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to clients while navigating complex legal issues.

Duties

  • Represent clients in criminal cases, ensuring their rights are protected throughout the legal process.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs and forming a strategic plan of action.
  • Review discovery with clients.
  • Interview witnesses and experts.
  • Represent clients in hearings and trials.
  • Successfully manage caseload from inception to resolution.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member of Georgia Bar in good standing.
  • 3+ years of solid criminal defense experience, including felonies, misdemeanors, probation violations, DUIs, domestic violence, and theft.
  • Experience in family law is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Member of Georgia Bar in good standing.
