A law firm is seeking an Attorney for its Evansville, IN location. The Attorney will manage personal injury claims from inception through resolution, providing counsel to clients throughout the claims process. They will conduct legal research and writing, handle cases in litigation, analyze case-specific legal issues, and communicate regularly with clients to foster trust and understanding.

 

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury claims from inception through resolution
  • Counsel clients through the entire claims process, maintaining regular contact to foster trust and understanding
  • Conduct legal research and writing to support cases
  • Handle cases in litigation, including preparation and filing of pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediation/arbitration, and trial
  • Analyze case-specific legal issues and documentation, including insurance policies
  • Investigate claims, gather evidence, and retain experts as needed
  • Review medical documents, calculate damages, and present claims for review and potential pre-litigation resolution
  • Obtain client reviews to assess satisfaction and gather feedback
  • Utilize Microsoft Office extensively for case management and documentation

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Indiana, Illinois, and/or Kentucky
  • Jury trial experience
  • Personal injury experience
  • Litigation experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in Indiana, Illinois, and/or Kentucky
