Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Elmsford is seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney with 5-10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be highly focused, organized, goal-oriented, and possess a proactive work ethic. This role involves independence in work, a strong understanding of mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, and eviction matters, and familiarity with in-state court proceedings.

Duties:

• Demonstrate a focused, organized, and goal-oriented approach to daily tasks.
• Utilize 5-10 years of litigation experience in legal proceedings.
• Preferably, have experience in mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, and/or eviction.
• Display familiarity with in-state court proceedings and relevant legal documentation.
• Work independently on legal cases, providing expertise and guidance.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills when interacting with clients and vendors.
• Communicate effectively and professionally in both written and verbal formats.
• Maintain a strong attention to organization and detail in all aspects of legal work.

Requirements:

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing membership with the New York State Bar.
• 5-10 years of litigation experience.
• Preferably experience in mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, and/or eviction.
• Familiarity with in-state court proceedings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to organization and detail.

Education:

Law degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active and in good standing membership with the New York State Bar.

Skills:

• Litigation experience (5-10 years).
• Mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, and/or eviction experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with in-state court proceedings.
• Independence in legal work.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented approach.
