Job Overview:
A reputable Georgia-based law firm specializing in eminent domain seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney to handle a broad range of eminent domain cases throughout the state. This role is ideal for an attorney with a strong litigation background and a passion for property rights. The attorney will evaluate claims, attend court proceedings and mediations, and negotiate on behalf of property owners. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with the opportunity to work remotely when appropriate.

Location:

  • Atlanta, Georgia

Duties:

  • Evaluate and analyze eminent domain cases, including reviewing offers, appraisals, and project plans

  • Litigate eminent domain cases and represent clients in court proceedings and mediations

  • Negotiate case resolutions, particularly post-litigation filings

  • Supervise and direct the work of assigned paralegal staff

  • Communicate effectively with commercial and residential property owners

  • Consult with prospective clients regarding case viability and legal representation

  • Manage caseload and prioritize work independently in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • 3–5years of experience in Georgia legal practice (preferred areas: Eminent Domain, Civil Litigation, or related)

  • Proven litigation experience, including court appearances and case negotiations

  • Demonstrated interest or knowledge in eminent domain law, or a willingness to develop expertise in the field

  • Strong client interaction and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision

  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management abilities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

  • Proficient in legal research and analysis

  • Skilled in negotiation and client relationship management

  • Able to supervise and delegate effectively to legal support staff
